Skype Plugs Security Flaw
Skype announced it has plugged a potentially serious security hole in its VoIP telephony software. The flaw, which came to light last weekend, could potentially allow third-party applications the ability to gain personal information from users. According to Skype officials, no abuse via this flaw has been reported.
Staying in Sync Not So Easy
My DroidX sometimes connects with the Ford Sync software built into my car. And sometimes, for no apparent reason, it stops working.
When it's on its game the phone's Bluetooth software seamlessly connects to my car's stereo, and I can stream music from Pandora or Stitcher podcasts. A couple of times it has suddenly quit working--this happened twice. The first time, it worked well for weeks, then stopped working for weeks, before, for no apparent reason suddenly working again.
I can only assume that, whenever there's an update, the software being pushed to my phone breaks the connection. Then in a subsequent version the bug is fixed, only to be reintroduced in the next iteration. Still looking into this.
